Healthy Dine Out

Hey Lovelies 🙂

As you probably seen on my instagram (@francamonica), i have been eating out a lot in the last couple of weeks. I loooove eating out!!

I believe eating out can be not only delicious but also pretty nutritious & healthy. Eating out is so much fun & should definitively not be a problem when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle.


Some of my favorite things to eat out include: Pizza, Sushi & Dumplings. I like to eat out the stuff i don’t really make at home.. and can you believe it, i used to hate pizza before becoming vegan 😀 I’ve never liked the melted cheese on top, it has been a life changing experience trying pizza without cheese!! 😛 The best Pizza for me is with thick dough, lots of Tomato Sauce, Onions, Mushrooms & Rocket!!! 🙂

When it comes to Sushi, Takuan Maki (pickled reddish) is my favourite, followed by my special creation composed of pickled Reddish, Cucumber & Mango 😛 this one is so good!!! if you have the chance to try it please do 🙂 in general i really love Mango in Sushi!! its so refreshing & satisfying!! I always also get a side of Edamame & Miso soup 🙂 I love edamame!!


DUMPLINGS i wish i knew how to make super yummy dumplings at home so i don’t have to spend all my money on it at asian restaurants 😀 i love dumplings soooooo much!!! I always get several servings of steamed dumplings when they have it on the menu 🙂 they are the perfect food in combination with salads, more rice or sushi and noodle soups!!! Gosh i love asian foods… 💚

Other healthy things i like to eat out are: Bruschetta & Pasta with tomato sauce 🙂 I always ask the staff to use less oils, no oil if possible & go for lots of bread 🙂

Vegetable Curries or Chickpea/ Lentil Curries with rice are also big favorites of mine 🙂

Top Tips to make it extra healthy:

  1.  Ask to prepare the dishes without oils & ask for dressing/ sauce on side – Oils & fatty dressings easily turn a low calorie healthy meal into a fatty meal, there is no problem with healthy fats here & there just if you want to eat a lot of food & still maintain a slim physic i would try to limit these foods 🙂 – I personally also feel sluggish and get headaches after fatty meals, so this is a big no for me, not to talk about my skin 😀 ..
  2. Eat a Salad before your main meal! – I always eat a salad with my main meal, sometimes at home before going to the restaurant & almost always at restaurants. It helps me to eat slower & enjoy the foods more. Also adds a good amount of fiber so you will feel full longer 🙂
  3. Skip the dessert for a starter & eat more real foods. I’ve never been a really big fan of desserts, i can only recommend you to eat real food until you are satisfied, if you are craving excessive sweets you probably lack calories/ carbs in general 🙂 healthier desserts include fruits, tea, Banana ice cream, dates etc.
